Imagination Station

While listening to Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 today, Paton observed, "This sounds like bad guy music -- you know when the good guys are chasing the bad guys." Moments later, "This sounds like Tyrannosaurus music."

Fashion Crisis

Paton's summer growth spurt was evidenced on Sunday night as we were getting ready for church. I handed him a pair of pants and instructed him to try them on. He came out asking, "Are these capri's?"

Olympic Moments

had the women's marathon [Olympics] on for only seconds when Paton said, "Daddy, how come the ladies only wear a shirt and underwear for this race?" ...I had a hard time splainin that one....

Shaping Up

Last night, I was going through the nightly routine of making sure Paton's room was cleaned up before he went to bed. So I asked him, "Paton, what shape is your room in?" To which he responded, "square."

Easter Blessing

Today on the way home from church, Paton was telling us about the "Resurrection Eggs" that were discussed in his class today. I asked him what was in the last egg, and he said, "actually nothing was in it.....it represented the empty tomb"
